      Conversion of ships to LNG

      In virtue of the implementation of regulation IMO 2020, , more and more companies are opting to convert the engine and fuel systems of their ships to LNG. This commitment to more sustainable technology from an environmental point of view also implies considerable economical savings, due to the lower cost of the fuel.

      At Cryospain we carry out the mechanical and thermal design, the manufacturing, and the commissioning of these systems following the strictest quality standards and in accordance with the quality certificate of the applicable maritime classes.

      Accessories

      Flexible vacuum-insulated pipe

      • This design allows certain flexibility during the installation, provided a maximum bend radius is established beforehand.
      • Wide range of diameters, longitudes, and types of connections adaptable to the different situations.

      Vacuum purger

      • This consists of a vacuum suction device that vents the accumulated gas.
      • It accelerates the cooling adjustments and prevents the accumulation of gas during periods of non-consumption.
      • Installed at the highest point of the installation.
      • Can be connected to the Johnston coupling built in to the pipe.

      Vacuum-insulated phase separator

      • This ensures a constant level of liquid at a constant pressure, evacuating the gas generated.
      • Automated by the pressure control and liquid level.

        Gas trap

        • Compact vacuum-insulated system equivalent to a siphon that minimizes gasification when the gas is not consumed.
        • Prevents the formation of ice when there is a vertical section before the connection points, reducing losses of liquid.

        Logistics

        • Detailed 3D models for large loads.
        • Transportation, loading, and care instructions for the assembly equipment.
        • Transportation using a truck or STD container.
