Onboard LNG Piping for cleaner shipping

Cryospain is an industry leader in cryogenic engineering. But we are also committed to the environment. We know that many industrial vessels pollute more than they should. This is the reason behind our latest project to install LNG bunkering lines on board a Socarenam ship. Here, we’ll be overhauling its engine system to run on liquified natural gas. The changes will let the

craft comply with the IMO 2020 Sulphur Regulation.

Why?

LNG is the best way to replace Fuel Oil because its sulphur rate is below 0.5% (m/m). This is very significant as it reduces greenhouse gases anywhere between 25% and 30%. Furthermore, this reduces emissions of other pollutants like SOx and NOx to next to zero.
LNG meets every IMO 2020 Sulphur Regulation guideline. As a result, we can slash ship SOx emissions. This can only mean profound benefits for general health and the environment. Even more so for population centres near ports and coastlines.

Our aim: sustainable shipping

We are experts in LNG piping. At Cryospain, we know that great technology is great for the environment. We are 100% committed to alleviating climate change in any way we can. Sustainable development is a realistic goal. Reducing ships’ impact on pollution is just one way we work towards making it a reality.
