We couldn’t be more excited to be attending the 30th edition of the SMM maritime fair in Hamburg
We’re delighted to be attending SMM 2020 in Hamburg. Even more so, given this will be the 30th edition of the world’s leading trade fair for shipbuilding, machinery and marine technology. Exhibitors from all over the world come here to showcase the products and technologies driving the marine industry.
The Cryospain team will be there to share our latest technology with leading experts of our industry. It will also be an opportunity to meet face-to-face with leading players in the switch to cleaner fuels. Our products for LNG, Hydrogen and Methanol-fuelled ships, which we can design, install as well as commission, are driving this change:
- Vacuum insulated cryogenic piping
- Double-walled non-vacuum insulated pipelines
- Vacuum insulated tanks for ships

Our high vacuum piping system is famous for its high quality, durability and versatility to meet the unique needs of our customers and their projects.
At SMM 2022, we’d love to talk to you about how we specialize in piping systems for the transport of cryogenic or refrigerated liquids in maritime environments. Also about how carried out numerous retrofits of ships and vessels to LNG, with the most prestigious accreditations and certifications such as RINA, BV, DNV, Lloyd’s… We want to share with you our commitment to greener technology.
At Cryospain, we also handle the mechanical and thermal design of complex super-insulated high-vacuum cryogenic pipes systems. We build them in our two very own production facilities. This is where our technicians bring their years of experience to bear. They are true experts in this type of piping designed for the transport of cryogenic liquids (LNG, LIN, LOX, LHe, LAR and LH2).
Retrofit or new build, we have what your vessel needs to go green
At SMM Hamburg, we’re looking forward to demonstrating that we’re not only about transforming pollutant-powered ships. We’ve also developed cryogenic piping systems for new vessels that have opted for natural gas as a cleaner way to power their engines.
We look forward to taking you through how we handle high vacuum cryogenic piping and uninsulated double-walled piping systems for all three bunkering systems:
- Pipe to Ship (PTS): supply of fuel in a cryogenic state from the quay to a vessel.
- Ship to Ship (STS): supply of fuel in a cryogenic state from one ship to another.
- Truck to Ship (TTS): supply of cryogenic fuel from a truck or tanker to a vessel.
We also work closely with shipyards to provide the best advice and solutions to the issues and difficulties that come with building ships driven by cryogenic technology.
